I've got my hands on some bold Marimekko cotton prints and I'm busy making them up into nappy bags in time for my next fair - Mid-winter Knack. These prints are really popular - and you can see why! Can't wait to see them as bags...keep an eye out.

Ngaio Craft Fair this Saturday

This Saturday (8th May) is the Ngaio Craft Fair. There looks to be a great line up of crafters. Peg Baby will be there with some new products on show, including some beautiful nappy bags....if only I had a need for so many nappy bags myself! It seems that each new bag I create becomes my favourite. Oh well, hopefully they will go to loving homes!

I've just completed a couple of beautiful nappy bags made from beautiful JAB Anstoetz linen. One has sold already and I've just listed the other on my online store. Check it out - it also features an additional zip pocket on the outer flap for mum's wallets, keys etc.

I seem to have more fabrics than I know what to do with, including all sorts of beautiful, curious and fun children's fabrics. So what better to do with all that fabric? Cushions it is. Hi, welcome to Peg Baby. Started in December 09, we create limited edition clothing, accessories and toys for babies 0-2yrs. We also have some great gear for Mums - starting with a stylish (and practical!) selection of nappy bags.

Most Peg Baby gear is hand crafted, so you can be assured of limited edition pieces. We also ensure that our products are suitable for eczema prone babies and sensitive young skins. For this reason we love using silky, soft bamboo and organic cotton.

Peg Baby is based on some simple values and traditions - a yearning for a simple life, the art of craft and waste not want not.

Our First Fair

This weekend was Peg Baby's first market. The Petone Fair. The weather was fantastic (a little wind - but hey, this is Wellington!) It was great to see so many people as well as getting a lot of really positive feedback about the Peg Baby range.
